inspiration

living in kailua (and a month oceanside in ponte vedra, florida) put me in the path of countless portuguese man o’ war. in kailua they ride in after wind and sometimes a week after the full moon; over in ponte vedra they were huge. not actually jellyfish, each is a colony with four specialized parts working together. i loved the beauty and the weirdness… and the contradiction of that sting. man-o-peace is a reminder that we can choose response over reflex.
